What I Did Today

Today I started in my first hour by researching job listings and posting them to CTP’s skill center page. In the second hour, I spent 15 minutes practicing my typing skills, but my average is hovering lower than usual. I think I just need to get used to doing it regularly again. Next I worked on emergency food resources research, and this time around I made note of all the resources that were already listed for a specific county, and then compared any information I found online to my list. It took awhile to type them out, but it saved me time in the long run. I was able to add one or two to the county I was looking at. Going into my 3rd hour, I spent some time on CTP Alumni contact gathering. I managed to find two LinkedIn profiles from confirmed CTP graduates from around 2001 and 2002. I only spent about 15 minutes on this, and then I continued with food and grocery research. I had a lot of questions about how certain resources should be listed, so I asked in the chat, and although I got my questions answered, I didn’t make much substantial progress. In the last hour, I continued with ERG research and outreach, but it was slow for most of that time. I am expecting at least one new task next week, which should be a refreshing change of pace.
