Here is an in person IT Helpdesk position on Indeed. You will, Provide technical support to employees via phone, email, the ticketing system; provide in-person support to onsite employees. Develop expertise in in-house applications and perform issue identification, verification, diagnosis, and troubleshooting. Facilitate two-way feedback communication between end-users and the rest of the IT staff. Record accurate and comprehensive information for requests, incidents, and resolutions. Develop new process and systems documentation. Perform on-site and remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions. Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided. Install, make changes, and repair computer hardware and software. Escalate unresolved issues to the next level of support personnel. Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures.

The pay is anywhere between $33-$36 an hour (40 hour work week)

What I Did Today

Today, I worked with pfSense to connect two virtual machines, diving into some basic networking concepts. It was an eye-opening experience learning how networks communicate and handle data. Along the way, I came across terms like IP addresses, LANs, DNS, and NAT, gaining a better understanding of how they all fit together.

Tomorrow, I have practice interviews with Delta Dental, so I’ll be shifting focus to preparing for that. I’m excited to tackle the challenge and see how I can apply my skills and experiences to their mission of improving oral health.

What I did today

Today in class we practiced creating folders and nesting in our drive and on the desktop. This was very helpful and will definitely make it easier to keep my desktop clear and organized. I also took some time to do some flyer research, looking online for flyers about upcoming events, public service, and promotions. Searching the internet is always helpful when you need to find information.
