What I Did Today

Today is a day to be proud of just showing up. Felt awful but showed up on time to both coworking and class. Did not get much skillsoft done. Also was moving slow in class. But showed up and did what I could without it being painful. Very much plodding along.
– Learning about networking! I think it would be very interesting if my brain was working right now. Learned a lot of new terms. “DNS” has finally been downloaded into my brain.
– Ended on an interesting error to solve tomorrow.
– Networking is so abstract.
– I just really like working in VirtualBox. Someone at my volunteering recommended is and me and another guy chimed in with a “oh VirtualBox is great” in unison.
– looking forward to maybe being an intern so I can turn some of the video documentation into written docs. It’s at least annoying, if not an accessibility issue.
– Succeeded in not feeling worse after class and even maybe even a little better. I find this very encouraging.

What I did today

Today we started the Networking Lab. we worked on the networking lab by defining terms related to computer networking. we created a VM router called pfSense and we configured it. We went over network terms and command prompt commands related to networking. We learned how to use the command ipconfig. We learned about ping and traceroute.

What I did today

Today we got to play cashier at a coffee house.

We also created a webpage for a coffee house.

Then we worked on our accountability homework for the week, which is coping a flyer and e-mailing it to the teacher.

What I Did Today

I practiced my typing – so far my best is 61wpm and each day I try to beat my previous best. Today that did not happen. 🙂

I set up my bio as an employee at Sunshine Express – Customer Service Representative.

I practiced role play being a customer at Sunshine Express as well as an employee taking orders and ringing it up for the customer.

I sent my flyer for the accountability assignment – Flyer Research.

What I Did Today

Today, I began by going through various job listings and re-posting ones that I thought were potentially appropriate for CTP graduates to apply to, as well as summarizing info about them to CTP’s skill center page. I then continued by checking the DEI watch resource to see if any companies on the DEI spreadsheet needed to be added or removed, but this time I didn’t see any new ones that required changes. I then started on the task Jose assigned to me last week, which is looking into certain courses on the upcoming new SkillSoft portal for overlapping or redundant material. Shortly after, I began a study hour with another CTP participant and we continued with our respective tasks, mostly just focused on watching course lecture material in the videos. Afterward, I switched to researching rehabilitation centers for potential outreach and partnership with CTP, by continuing down the spreadsheet and adding contact information or ruling out listings which weren’t viable.
