What I Did Today

Today I prepared for my final week of AWEX. Although it will be ending, I plan to continue with SJS for some time at least. Today I focused on recording the final clips for the video project Jose assigned to me. Although I knew everything I wanted to cover, and even had a script, I couldn’t continue with editing the video together until I recorded the remaining clips. I will be finishing up the video tomorrow, and then I will be done with all my AWEX tasks. I’m glad to have the opportunity to work on this video project before the end. Since there was one less day this week, I decided to spend the entire time working on the project.

What I did today

For the first hour I added eight job listings to the CTP website, mostly in the Fairfeild area. Spent the second hour working on the emergency food list, adding more info to the San Luis Obispo County listings, and adding a few listings for Santa Barbara County. For the last hour I worked on the DEI companies, adding some contact info.

What I Did This Week

– Phone lines management and scripts
— Helped a classmate with understanding the phone system
– Typing speed continues to increase
– Tried out creating a resume from my masterdoc
– Made it to class everyday even though I was sick
– Communicated ahead of time with the volunteer coordinator about being unavailable so that someone could take my place.
– Internship paperwork done. I need to drop it off at my counsellor’s office.
– A+ cert resources oggling
– Clock In/Out reminders made more visible
– Independent challenge is fun but I want a more technical one

What I Did Today

I worked on my Linkedin page and I like how it’s coming out.

I practiced interviewing.

I talked with Carrie about a possible internship at the end of Core and I’m looking forward to speaking with my DOR counselor about it next week.
