What I Did Today

I started my day researching job posts to link onto CTP for employment services. I found some decent jobs: two were IT specialists, and one was customer service. I worked on the EFG list and decided to work on it until my shift ended. I met with the instructor and reviewed my work, to help improve productivity.

Customer Service- Redding, CA

WCP Solutions is looking for someone to provide administrative support for our Account Managers, working within a team-based environment that aligns with WCP Solutions’ culture and goals. The role offers a consistent schedule from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with the potential for overtime, allowing for a good work-life balance.

The responsibilities include managing customer service calls with professionalism, ensuring timely follow-up on customer requests, and writing up price quotes for both stock and non-stock items. You’ll also work with merchandising and sales to facilitate these quotes. Additionally, you’ll advise customers on trends and new products that align with their budgets and timelines.

The role also involves supporting inventory management, tracking orders, and addressing product delays or change orders. You’ll need to effectively communicate customer-related information, opportunities, and issues to the Account Managers and Sales Manager to ensure smooth information flow. Daily tasks will include accurate data entry, reporting, and general office duties.

IT Specialist – (Entry Level) Greenbrae, CA 

Casey Securities LLC, an institutional-facing broker-dealer providing complex execution services to the financial services industry, is looking to hire a dedicated IT Specialist.

This role will be based at Casey’s headquarters in Greenbrae, CA, and will report directly to the CEO. The IT Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Trade Desk and office operations, including collaborating with the firm’s managed service provider, maintaining networks, hardware, and software, and solving computer problems. The individual will also be responsible for preparing computer equipment for installation, diagnosing and resolving issues brought to them by end-users, and proactively identifying and addressing potential problems. Additionally, they will implement and maintain the firm’s cybersecurity policies and work with third-party vendors that provide software and hardware solutions.

Regional Office Support Technician Walnut Creek, CA

CalPERS is looking to hire an Office Technician (Typing) for the Customer Education and Outreach Division (CEOD) at the Walnut Creek Regional Office.

The position reports to the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I) and is responsible for providing administrative and clerical support. The duties will vary in scope and sensitivity, requiring a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently.
