Today I started like usual with searching job listings to share. I was having trouble on Indeed where a job post would say it was remote but then in the description it would say “must live in X area” so I lost a lot of time to that. I did switch over to ZipRecruiter and was much more successful finding remote Customer Service and Office Admin type roles there.
For the second half of my day I continued researching food assistance organizations for the Emergency Food/Grocery document. I was able to cover Lake and Yolo counties very effectively!

What I Did Today
I posted great job opportunities on CTP job board for anyone looking for a non-office work environment. I found a few positions in the retail industry for first-timers with no experience.
Wed. May 15
Hello. Today I chose and worked on my elective. I picked Career / Job Research. I was not able to finish it, but I learned a lot from what I got done. I researched Ancestry.com. They are a global company serving billions of customers. They have all sorts of job positions available. I liked that in their statement about their company that they strive to hire a diverse group of people to best serve their customers. In their description, they stated they hire the disabled. I had not read that from a company before. That was encouraging. Most of the items on their job description of their entry-level position I am qualified to do. I enjoyed researching this company.
What I did today
The first thing I did was work on my computer which gave me technical issues. I worked on accountability. I worked on skill-soft customer service. I did not like it and will start another one tomorrow. I worked on completing Berkmart Event Project assignment. This is a challenging but much needed class.
