What I Did Today!

Today we worked on professional development, specifically researching a company/organization before having an interview. This is an area I am familiar with already but it was a good reminder to practice these skills again. I also got some great advice on how to both refine my resume in a general sense and to target it specifically for each application.

What I did today:

Today I practiced some typing before class. Today we worked on how to research a job and investigated details about interviewing.

We practiced answering and sharing short answers to the interview questions. I am not feeling confident to complete my resume and cover letter at this point. Happy Friday

What I Did Today!

Today we did a fun little experiment, looking at PCPartPicker and speccing out different builds depending on purpose and budget. its always fun to look at different computer hardware to me and a nice exercise to see what you can put together. It was very surprising to me how much compute power you can get for $750 these days if you dont need a graphics card!

What I did today:

Today I worked on the elective that gave me the most fear to try, the Google slides. I have never made or used PowerPoint, so I am excited to learn how to use Google Slides. I tried a few technical things in the slides. I am fairly happy with the help from the instructor, to complete my Google slide elective task. This being my second slide, I feel more confident to share it. Whew!

Grateful for all the learning I am doing…
