Ultimate Staffing $16/hr – $17/hr  Remote,  Full-time,  Entry level call, center representative.

Job Information:

Requirements:

  • HS degree or equivalent certification is required.
  • Entry-level/apprentice; requires 0-2 year’s directly related experience.
  • Customer service experience and/or training preferred.
  • Energy industry-specific experience helpful
  • Fluency in Spanish helpful.
  • Must be willing to work on a rotating schedule after training period.

What I did today:

Today we worked on our event planning. It was a bit challenging and I am frustrated. I did not finish; I feel I am lagging. When they are teaching information, for the steps people are working on while I a working to stay focused on my tasks…It’s hard to pay attention to jump ahead and learn what steps others are on. I know it is supposed to be helpful, but it is unknown if I retained what was shown until I reach the steps on which they are on. I feel rushed and disappointed that I am not keeping up. Rough day of learning for me.

What I Did Today

Today, we dedicated the majority of our day to working on our event project. The instructors led us to breakout rooms to address any questions we had. I’ve made significant progress on the project.

What I Learned Today

Today I explored remote desktops and VirtualBox more and learned more about creating multiple virtual machines (PCs). I created multiple PCs and learned how to clone the PCs. The Debian-PC has the option for you to customize it as much as you want.

What I did today

Today we created virtual machines in both VirtualBox and Virtual Machine Manager. It was nice to see a different program, because I have used VirtualBox in the past. the two work very similarly and I am not sure yet which I prefer. VirtualBox is great for spinning up a machine quickly to test something but VMM seems to have a lot more advanced functionality that will help for longer term uses.

It was also great practice to use the ticketing system for documentation even though we were not troubleshooting a problem. I could probably write more in my ticket but I am not used to being so verbose unless I am actively fixing something.

What I did today

Today I met with Carrie to complete my AWEX onboarding and review of the next assignment. I added additional entries to the Job Postings List. I applied for some of those posted positions. I added 18 more possible gifts to the Graduation gift spreadsheet.
