What Did Today
I learned about a few volunteer websites. The volunteer positions could be in-person or fully remote. I also talked to Carrie today.
What I did today:
Today was a good day. It was good for my soul to learn more about the details more into getting a job. How to write and work collaboratively on our resumes, and interviewing skills, all things toward building up to a job that will bring me joy. I was grateful for others sharing their dreams and experiences with me. Thanks to Carrie our instructor today for her kind and patient spirit.
What I Did Today
Today, we attended an employment service presentation, forwarded a potential volunteer opportunity to our instructor via email, updated our job lo, and shared icebreakers with the class.
What I did Today
Today was my first day with employment services so I gathered my relevant information and documents to fill in for my Job Log. We looked at volunteer opportunities which I actually found a couple that could fit my skills. I am looking forward to more work refining my resume and getting more comfortable with the job interview process!
What I did today:
Today was a good day. I completed my task for BerkMart project that I was challenged on. It felt good. I learned a lot; using my spreadsheet. I enjoyed beginning the new task of taking the Skillsoft classes offered. It felt good to not be alone being slower in understanding and learning new things on the computer every class. Thankful the other students are of various backgrounds and working at different speeds and that the instructors are listening and empathetic about how to encourage and help.
What I Learned Today
I learned how to navigate the Virtual Manager a little more today when I was looking for specific categories. I also learned that the Virtual Manager will work without specific categories.
