What I learned today

During check-in I learned where CTP’s disability accommodations request form is located. I confirmed that I am seeking part-time roles, hybrid or remote, primarily in nonprofits and expanded my job search roles. My experience in the past ten years has been with nonprofits. I am also open to roles in the government and private sectors but believe nonprofits have the least bias in hiring.

What did I do today

I started the day by clocking in with Homebase, then we went over the Introducing to Networking presentation on Google Slides, then I took a break, then I had a monthly check-in that went well, then I took another break, then I started on the project, where I had to finish the Windows 10 Pro setup, and it worked successfully this time, then I had to do “What I did do today” post, and then I ended the day by clocking out of Homebase.

What I did today, 6/9

Started the day by clocking in to HomeBase. Then we talked about networking between computers and the internet. Then we each met with Carrie and Devin to talk about how we are doing within CTP’s program. Then picked up where we left off with our labs we were working on yesterday. Talked a little about tomorrow’s mock interview. Then did the What I did today post before clocking out of HomeBase for the day.

What I did today…

Practiced typing. Met with Devon for a check-in. I am doing well overall. Had Mike go over my Google Slides as it’s my elective for this month. Worked on this week’s accountability assignment, Workplace Conflict. Interesting to see I am more collaborating and less confronting. I learned what one of my hot buttons is: people who aren’t willing to compromise at all.

What I Did Today?

Today, we started with typing time. I did much better today than on any other day typing. I reached my highest score! Next, we continued on our Pro Elective that we chose to work on. I chose to work on my Accountability homework. This was a bet difficult to do because I really try to avoid any conflict and stay away from negativity. I’m too old to have arguments that are not necessary. But I did come up with one. I also worked a little bit on preparation for our MOCK Interviews tomorrow.
