We started with our tech articles. My article was on how the making of animation has changed and what to expect in the near future. I really am interested in how technology affects art. We then had our monthly check-in. I was grateful to have that; I like hearing where I am and what I need to work on. I then did the 2nd part of the lab – building your own computer.

What I did today

Today I worked with the no machine and any desk to test on connecting to the virtual machine. It was a bit rough at first but with troubleshooting I did get the any desk working. Unfortunately the no machine kept asking for a subscription and I did not have enough time to troubleshoot that.

What I Did This Week

This week was an Elective Week, so it seemed the curriculum was lighter than usual. I still tended to focus on my accountability assignment in the off-hours, so I plan to turn that in before class tomorrow when mock interviews start. I also met with Carrie twice this week (one time with Devin, also), so it was good to catch up on overall progress with respect to looking forward to Job Readiness.

I finished the elective assignment today, the Google Slides BerkMart Sales Report Presentation. Marc sent me some screenshots from the Square online store that was to serve as the basis for the sales report. I think I did an all-right job putting the presentation together. I hope BerkMart decides to sell those 19.99 Terabyte Flash Drives going forward. . .

And even though tomorrow isn’t here yet, we are having mock interview practice with Beneficial State Bank. I looked for open positions on their website during class, but I only found Senior Leadership roles posted. I’m thinking differently about my overall strategy and so I hope I do well tomorrow given what I have learned so far from interview practice.

What I Did Today

August 12, 2026: Today, I presented my weekly CTT tech article along with my other classmates. In addition, I began to work on a new lab called “Building a PC for a Purpose”. It was really interesting to see all the different parts for building a custom PC!

What Today Held

Oh! And thank you, Mike, for going through my overthinking points from my monthly form submission. Brought a lot of peace and makes me feel less overwhelmed or like I’m failing.

What I did today.

8 11 2026

Today we continued working on the lab assignment, and so far we are learning the differences between the software and applications that can be used on a virtual computer and on a regular computer. It has been an interesting lab to work on so far. For everyone I have tried so far, between TeamViewer and AnyDesk, I would say AnyDesk is easier to set up. Also today I was able to pass the test with an 80% on the first introduction course part 1.

What did I do today

Started the day by clocking in on Homebase. Also, I continued to work on the Remote Connectivity project. I also tried to connect the virtual machine via TeamViewer, and it worked. I also installed AnyDesk on my main computer and the Windows 10 virtual machine and also tested that as well. I started the Core Training Portfolio. It was a good,, interesting day. Before the class ended, I did a “What did I do today?” post. I am ready to clock out of Homebase.

What I Did Today

Today I simply forgot to clock into Homebase, despite my sticky note reminder and every other attempt not to forget. I think I will have to set up calendar reminders, but I will try to remember not forgetting every once in awhile. At the beginning of class, Carrie completed our check-in appointments and I answered some questions about reaching my goals throughout the duration of the class and during employment.

The rest of class, only about two hours left, was dedicated to the elective assignment I chose to work on yesterday. There were some screenshots from BerkMart’s online store called Square, where sales data is gathered and my job was to produce a Slides presentation on the Sales Reports.

Making a presentation from this data was not too challenging. The most difficult part was understanding which part of the assignment was related to which screenshot, and then telling a viable story about the sales data in the presentation. The easy part, and the fun part, was looking for stock web photos telling the story of how many Donuts BerkMart customers ate the previous year, compared to the Fitness Services procured the following year.

What I did today

Today we set up our vm and personal laptops with RDPs. Which stand for remote desktop protocol. I have also learned that tight vnc is by far the most annoying one to try to set up and will encourage future employers to not use it because it will not be good for the customers.
