What I Did Today

Today I spent my first hour searching for three more listings that I could add to the CTP website. I then transferred over to the B-Corp project at 11:00 AM and continued working on that for the remainder of my shift. It’s a neat tool that has been decently interesting to learn about and explore why being considered a B-Corp is important in specific ways.

What I Did Today

Today, I created a WordPress Bio for Sunshine Express. Later, I worked on cash-counting games and practiced being a cashier and customer. While practicing being the cashier, I had to change the store to Sunshine Express because it was automatically set for a different store. Sunshine Express had several different customizable order options, such as drink size, toppings, and more.

What I Did Today

I began today with posting some job listings, and then transitioned to work on the B-Corp project. It’s getting more challenging now that I and the others have put up all of the easy-to-find links, but that’s a good thing! Learning how to flex your skills and come up with creative solutions is good practice, both in general and especially for the business world.

What I Did Today

Today we started a new lab, focused on computer networking. It was similar to the advanced lab I did last month. I was able to get a virtual router set up and connect two virtual computers through it to the internet. while the basic concept is familiar to me it was a bit difficult tracking down all the relevant information from each machine in the chain, mostly due to my inexperience with Linux based systems.

What I did today…

Hello Monday, nice to start a new week. Today we practiced typing as usual to begin our class. I typed more confidently. Maybe from the refreshed weekend. I learned the beginning of where one can create a blog, or company blog on a website; using WordPress. We had to create our site with our name, a brief description of the job, and a short biography. We played a few money games as a warm up to our next project. Another new thing I did today was to practice working in a cafe type store; to be a customer ordering on a POS system and as the cashier to receive the ordering. It was an interesting role play. This week we have a new type of accountability to research flyers which sounds interesting to learn from next. Time to end class and prepare the family dinner for this evening. Have a meaningful, rest of Monday.
