My day started off with fifteen minutes of typing. I chose Monkey Type and a few typing games. We also went over Advanced Web Browsers & Setup for Class. We discussed new tabs, setting home tabs, bookmarks and extensions. I began my BerkMart Event Project.
What I did today
Yesterday was all about getting organized! I set up a Slack account for team communication, created a Homebase account to manage scheduling and time tracking, and set up Grammarly to ensure polished writing. I also created a LastPass account to securely manage passwords. Feels great to have these tools in place!

Additionally, I took the time to explore our WordPress website. I learned how to manage content updates and navigate the dashboard effectively. This hands-on experience will undoubtedly enhance my ability to contribute to our online presence and streamline our workflow.
Overall, it was a productive day that has equipped me with essential skills for my role. I’m looking forward to applying what I’ve learned and continuing to grow in these areas!

Today was all about getting set up and oriented in my vocational training! I set up Slack for team communication, created a new Chrome profile for better workspace organization, and tried out the Homebase timeclock for the first time to track my hours. I also had a chance to practice using AI tools like ChatGPT and ImageCreate, which was really interesting. Additionally, I listened to the CTT and Core Orientations, giving me a solid overview of the training program. It was a productive day filled with valuable new tools and insights!
What I Did Today
Today I found and posted a number of jobs to CTP’s skill center page. I spent some time looking for remote jobs but didn’t want to get too carried away from other tasks as it got closer to the first hour. I managed to find 3 and then later in the day I found more. Next, I worked on improving my typing speed as per my profession skills development goal. I am trying to take into account my average typing speed since sometimes it can vary, and I think today was a slower day since I was a little bit tired. For much of the rest of the time, I focused on ERG email outreach. Many of the outreach methods involve filling out a contact form, but sometimes the contact form has field presets that don’t align with the outreach template, or other limitations such as a character limit. I tried to work around these limitations as best as I could, or look for a general inquiry email address instead if possible. In practice, I ended up skipping around the document for different companies a lot of the time. Carrie mentioned that some of the companies I reached out to already responded on the same day, and she was able to follow up with them, so it felt good seeing my contributions come to fruition like that. I’m glad to be able to help.
What I Did Today
Today I was able to come up with three job listings but had a frustrating lack of success with finding good social media posts. I will continue that task on another day.
