Today in class I worked on creating spreadsheets, flight lists, label merging, and summary reports.
Today I continued to work on the BerkMart project. I was able to finish most of the assignment. I still have a little bit more to do and the assignment is on Google Sheets where I used the countif formula to do a word count.
PRO was fun today. I finished my assignment and turned it in. I also finished up my accountability assignment, which is ready to be turned in tomorrow. I felt good about using the different formulas with Sheets. Good day in PRO.
Today, I began by typing for 15 minutes using Monkeytype. After that, I completed my BerkMart Event Project spreadsheet. I added a list of flights on a second sheet and created a PDF file to attach to an email. I then emailed the event information along with the required data. Finally, I created event labels using Avery Label Merge.
Still working on the BerkMart Event Project assignment
10/30 Today’s focus was working on Skillsoft courses and working on my tech article for tomorrow’s presentation.
Today, I took a deep dive into the world of computer hardware, gaining insights that broadened my understanding of how different components work together. I focused on the distinctions between RAM, HDDs, and SSDs, and learned how to replace an HDD with an SSD—a process that can significantly improve a computer’s performance.
I discovered that RAM is essential for short-term data storage, allowing for quick access and multitasking capabilities. In contrast, HDDs use spinning disks to store data, making them slower but more cost-effective for larger capacities. SSDs, on the other hand, utilize flash memory for faster access and improved performance, which is why upgrading from an HDD to an SSD can lead to noticeable speed enhancements.
The process of replacing an HDD with an SSD involved backing up data, removing the old drive, and securely installing the new one—a straightforward task that can have a profound impact on overall system responsiveness.
Additionally, I learned about various display technologies, such as LCDs, LEDs, and OLEDs. Each type has its unique strengths, particularly in terms of brightness, color accuracy, and energy efficiency.
Overall, today was filled with valuable insights that not only enhanced my technical knowledge but also empowered me to make informed decisions about hardware upgrades. Understanding these components is crucial for anyone looking to optimize their computer’s performance.
Finished the Berk-Mart Conference assignment, and watched some Skillsoft.
Today I began with Monkey Type. Then I continued working on my Berkmart assignment. I was pulled into a pullout room to discuss my progress so far and if there was anything I may have needed to be accommodated with. Ended my day with my Berkmart assignment.
