What I Did Today.
Today, I was tasked with posting job listings on the CTP website. I found 6 jobs, but as I was entering them, one of the jobs closed when I was testing the link for it as I was writing for it’s listing. Next time, I will try to work faster.
What I did today
Exciting day. I did an hour of onboarding to AWEX which was a lot to take in. My main responsibility as an administrative associate was finding and posting job opportunities. I actually really enjoyed it because my own personal job search, the parameters are narrow and I see so many amazing exciting jobs that wont work for me, so I love being able to share them with fellow job searchers. I also spent some time setting up job alert emails from a few platforms (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc) so I get great new listings emailed to me. The job listings can be found here.
In-person: Teapressor/Barista/Help Wanted (Berkeley, CA)
This position has multiple starting roles, with the lowest not needing any experience. There are multiple shifts you can choose to work in, and there’s paid training. There are a few benefits, including flexible schedules, and medical subsidy.
In-person: ILS Instructor / Independent Living Skills Instructor (Castro Valley, CA)

In this position, you would provide individualized support to individuals with developmental disabilities. You’ll teach essential life skills in a motivating, tailored, and professional setting. The only requirement of the position is owning a valid driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and auto insurance. Experience isn’t required, and the position offers training.
In-person: Delivery Driver (Oakland, CA)
This position is looking for both full-time, and part-time delivery drivers. You would use handheld devices for routing customer’s locations, and show customers your positive attitude. You need to be 21 or older, and have a valid driver’s license.
PT In-person: Assistant Cinema Manager, Jack London Square Oakland
PT position overseeing the operation and supervision of a theatre and its employees. The role involves managing daily operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, training and developing staff, handling financial transactions, and maintaining the theatre’s equipment and facilities. Strong leadership and organizational skills are required, along with experience in a supervisory or theatre role. Candidates must be able to perform under pressure and manage operational tasks effectively.

Part-time position responsible for greeting visitors, fulfilling resident requests, arranging tours, answering a multi-line phone, and providing clerical support at a Senior Independent & Assisted Living Facility
The role requires exceptional customer service, knowledge of property services, and efficient handling of reservations, maintenance requests, and other resident needs. A high school diploma and two years of relevant experience, preferably in hospitality, are required. Strong communication and organizational skills are a must.
