What I Did Today

We reviewed a recorded surprise interview that we had with the instructor before. Later, we updated our resume, cover letter, and other documents as much as possible. We also practiced our interview answers with a classmate to gain more insight on how we could improve our answers.

What I Did Today

Today we listened to a employment service presentation to start the class. After that, we went into a breakout room and did an interview Q and A with a classmate. The next part of the class was to work on our professional documents such as resumes, and cover letters, and we were able to ask questions if we needed help. The last thing we did to end the day was do a group Q and A as a class to tell a story about the jobs that we had.

What I did Today

Today we worked on our professional documents and interview practice. I am getting more comfortable with my “storytelling” answers but still need to work on my pacing and not saying Um to fill gaps.

What I did today…

Today we did a 3-minute timed typing test. We worked with the 3CX phone system with various scenarios between Customers and Employees with a classmate. It was fun to do.

We discussed as a group; our experiences doing our accountability project to make calls to 3 stores and give feedback on their customer service. That was an interesting assignment. Good day. Time to go…

What I Did Today

We reviewed and explained our experience with the Remote Customer Service Accountability Assignment. Later, we practiced responding to BerkMart customers using the 3CX Phone System. We practiced responding to upset customers and happy customers.

What I Did Today

Today we roleplayed customers and employees in various situations. I still feel nervous at times answering a customer phone so I’m glad to get as much practice as possible. I also got to share about Lenovo and iFixit teaming up for the newest laptops, consumer repairs are something I feel strongly about and support as often as possible!

What I Did Today

Today we watched a short video on how to best use the telephone when interacting with customers. For the rest of the class period, I went into a breakout room to finish up a few late assignments that I needed to do.

What I Did Today

Today I began as usual by posting job listings, one of which I applied for myself. After that, I worked on figuring out the best way to contact national parks so I could add places like Muir Woods to the graduation project. Afterwards I started a new version of my resume that focuses more on my work with CTP, which I’ll use in job applications going forward. It’ll be great to have some actual paid experience on there!

What I did today

I added additional entries to the Job Postings List. I added additional entries to the Graduation project and sent out corresponding letters. I made additional improvements to my Resume and shared it with Carrie for review.
