CTP Skill Center

Hello. Today was my third class. I took two pages of notes and learned many new things. We had a lesson on how to use Google Sheets. I had never used Google Sheets before so that was very interesting. When Mike said we were barely scratching the surface of what Google Sheets can do I believed it. It looks extremely useful. I also learned what my Accountability homework is and how to fill it out. We touched on Mail Merge, but I still do not know what it is and how it is helpful. That will be one of the many things I look forward to learning in Pro class.

Today we went over our Thursday process for CTT: discussing tech articles and Skillsoft summary reporting. We used WireGuard and rdp again. Connected to our box at CTP and started copying iso’s. This is still a bit foreign for me….. Until it’s not, ARGH.

Today, we reviewed how to use Google Sheets. Later, I learned how to use a few new tools while working on a Google Sheets assignment. Two of the tools I learned were split text to columns and the proper formula. I also learned what Mail Merge is.

Hello. Today is my second day of class. I started today’s class with a typing exercise. I typed 27 wpm with 99% accuracy. Unfortunately, after that, I accidentally minimized my volume so I couldn’t hear the instructions. At the end of class, I discovered my error and increased the volume again. I spent the class time creating a Google Slide Presentation marketing the POW Power of Wellness Health Center. I shared it with my instructor. I have much still to learn and practice.

Today I watched others present their tech articles, and learned about posting my own article on slack. We then learned about virtual machines, and was refreshed on creating VMs. I turned in my Skillsoft weekly summary for the first time. I discovered I need to be better explaining tech and software to be more professional, and it will make things proper and smooth.

Today was pretty eventful, I got to welcome four new participants to the CTT program and share my tech article with them. Afterwards I continued working on my Core Training Portfolio and then completed the Mail Merge project. Doing the mail merge was interesting, I have wondered how mass mailing works in the past.

Today, we went over some more introductions with other students at different places in the program. Afterwards, we went over the tech article assignment and the accompanied resources in greater detail. We also saw two other students showcase their articles.

Once that was done, we went into the initial stages of setting up our remote virtual machines. Not much has been completed of this so far, but we do have the ISO’s copied over onto the actual machine from the networks.

Overall, I would say this was a decent day.

Today I did a typing test . After that, I worked on a spreadsheet I leared a lot today by highlighting the coloms and all the other things like right-clicking .
