What I did today

Today, We practiced basic phone skills like answering and making calls with the customers. Following the script is very helpful but I realized I need more practice to make me more comfortable and make me sound natural.

What I did today?

At the beginning of my day we started with the 15-minute typing. Then we talked about the independent challenge we did yesterday. All went well I have had little to no computer issues. We set up our phone system and worked on calling each other with a practice script. We worked on professional email and did a Google Doc assignment. We all did an assignment on Professional vs Informal Email. That was a full day and I learned a lot. I knew a lot but I truly need refreshing my skills.

What I Did Today

Today we talked about the personal challenges that we did. We did phone customer scripts with the 3CX phone system, and we also did an exercise in turning informal written communication into formal communication.

What I did today

Today we worked in groups of 2 to 3 people reading from a script to provide customer service. We used a program that has a phone database that we can conference call, put on hold, warm transfer, or cold transfer a customer. It was fun. we also worked on correcting Informal Emails to make them professional.

What I Did Today

Today we reviewed some of the independent challenge from last class, and then began working on logging into our phone system. We started on a lab that helped us to practice both the controls for the phone interface as well as using a customer support script. We practiced putting the customer on hold and using extensions. Finally we worked on a lab to fix unprofessional emails and make them more professional. With the extra downtime I had in class, I worked on my typing skills some more to get more practice with the keys I struggle with the most, such as various types of punctuation. I hope to get more practice with customer support and phone systems in the future, as it is an important skill in the professional world.
