Today the class worked professional resumes and interview questions. Had some ice breakers to lighten things up. I was nervous to talk about myself for the interview questions. Was able to get through it with Carrie’s help. Which was nice. 11/1

Today in Employment Services, Carrie gave a presentation on the benefits of volunteering and researched various volunteer organizations. Afterward, I worked on my resume, combining and rewording my skills into clear and concise bullet points. I also participated in interview practice and interactive labs, where we went through various interview questions and answers. Lastly, I completed the end-of-week CTT self-assessment.

What I did today

Today was a productive day focused on my professional development. I dedicated a significant amount of time to refining my resume, ensuring it effectively highlights my skills and experiences. In addition to this, I practiced answering common resume-related questions, which helped me feel more prepared for upcoming opportunities.

I also took the initiative to explore new volunteering opportunities. I’m excited about the prospect of getting involved in the community and making a positive impact through service. Overall, it was a fulfilling day that reinforced my commitment to personal and professional growth.

Today was employment services. We did a benefits of volunteering exercise. We shared the links that we chose. We worked on our resumes. We worked on our mock interview questions. Also, I did my CTT self assessment.

Halloween!! Yay!! Today in class people presented their technology articles. It was a fruitful discussion, a lot of interaction and involvement. Mostly about generative ai. Then moved into finishing the virtual machines projects.

What I did today

Continued to work on the BerkMart project that requires you to consider what you are trying to create with a personal style yet, professional. I love the challenge it put forth and I wouldn’t have it any other way!!! And I love the “UNDO” button, talk about saving your bacon! ^-^
