What I Did Today

Today I started as usual with some job searching. I found a couple of contract positions that didn’t require a lot of experience and could lead to some good exposure in the IT field. I also found a couple administrative type jobs. After that I met with Jose to work on building a task list for me, so I had something to reference and work on for the next couple days at least. For the remainder of the day I worked to come up with some new questions to add to the CTT PreLab documents, so participants could share their knowledge on the topics, and Jose could get a window into how much they know. I wrapped up my day by checking my email and writing this post!

What I Did Today

We had Employment Services in class today…. It’s a tough time for me right now. I’m tired and the introspection is tough! But it is really good experience and good to hammer through the application and interview prep…..

What I Did Today

Today was my first day of employment services and we worked with Carrie in pre-designated blocks of time on each agenda item. The first item was an orientation and it set me up well to understand what the class was about. After that we did interview question practice and I really enjoyed being able to practice and articulate my responses because it’s something that I used to struggle with a lot. It was also nice hearing a bit from other students in the class and their passions and career goals during the practice.

What I Did Today

I posted some great job opportunities for CTP job seekers. I found an organization in San Francisco that works with people with and without disabilities to find employment. They have listings for jobs that are available in the Bay Area.
