What I Did Today

Today I started by looking for job listings to post to CTP’s skill center page. Although I had a slow start, I was able to be productive and power through it. After that, I worked on trying to find profiles for CTP alumni, and actually finished going through the entire list! I checked the DEI watch page to see if any new companies had committed to their DEI initiatives in the last day since I checked, and there were four new ones to add. After adding those, I started my study hour with a CTP participant to both monitor and work quietly. During this time, I worked on researching rehabilitations centers for potential outreach and partnership with CTP. A fellow associate also started on this task, and I was happy to have the opportunity to offer some guidance about my workflow and some spreadsheet tricks. I also tried to make an animation to demonstrate something and posted it in the Telegram chat, but it didn’t work as intended. The last task I worked on was adding contact info for the aforementioned companies committed to DEI.

What I Did Today

Ive had a very productive day. I started with my first hour of searching for job listings to help people in SJS land a dream job. I shared 12 listings. After a check-in meeting with Carrie I spent the rest of my time researching food banks and was able to enter 4 more sources in to the spreadsheet. Im really enjoying this work, I feel so productive and helpful.

What I did today.

I posted job listings for my first hour as usual. I worked on the food resource spreadsheet by web-searching food resources in Siskiyou County. I did that for about an hour. I finished my day by working on the rehab spreadsheet. I feel better about working as an intern because of the importance of the information we are trying to provide. I have SJS in a little while. I am getting used to being in one place for an extended amount of time. I am hoping to get an interview long before my internship is finished. I also had a check-in meeting with Carrie today.
