What I did today

Today, I created a spreadsheet for art museums in the Bay Area. This required a lot of online searching, which sometimes frustrated me, but I succeeded. I had to find the Museum of Art, one artist whose work was on display at each location, and the title of one of the artists’ pieces. I also had to find the web address, physical address, and phone number for each museum. This was a challenge but I feel great that I could complete the assignment on my own!

What I Did Today

Today was my last day of AWEX! I started out with some job postings for the students, and then spent my last few hours on the ERG Outreach project. I really benefited my time in this program. I now consider my skills to be on a professional level and I finally now have a professional reference on my resume. I feel like I now have all the tools I need to find gainful employment!

Office Assistant, Ukiah, CA

Ukiah Truck Repair is hiring full-time. The role involves writing invoices, assisting the bookkeeper, and handling accounts payable and receivable. You will also answer phones, manage data entry and filing, and perform other clerical duties. The ideal candidate will have a professional attitude, strong attention to detail, and good phone and computer skills, especially in Excel and Word. Proficiency with 10-key, and good math skills.

Data Entry Coordinator, Modesto, CA

We’re looking for an Energy Coordinator to join our growing team at Builder Services Network. With over 32 years in energy conservation, we provide inspections for new and existing homes. The role involves managing and entering data into our internal system and software platforms, requiring strong multitasking, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Clerk, Typist, Legal Secretary, Merced, CA

Cyril Lawrence Inc. is seeking candidates, no prior experience is required, but you must be able to type at 50 wpm. For reception duties, answer calls in a friendly manner, take detailed messages, greet clients professionally, and ensure new clients fill out a questionnaire. Collect consultation fees and payments, check voicemails each morning and after lunch, and return calls. You will also handle appointment scheduling.

For typist duties, complete daily dictation by noon and draft or finalize documents assigned by staff on the same day.
