Office Assistant (Full-Time, Hybrid, Santa Rosa)

The County of Sonoma is hiring multiple positions: 3 monolingual positions for English speakers, and 1 bilingual position for English/Spanish speakers. They want someone to perform various clerical and customer service activities, enter data, answer phones, process forms and payments, handle mail, handle filing, and obtain and convey information related to department services, records, and programs. Some positions may require a typing speed of 45 wpm, and both a questionnaire and a written exam may be required to apply. They are looking for candidates with excellent customer service skills, handling inquires in person and over the phone, a talent for working well under pressure and being assertive when necessary, fast and accurate data entry skills, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with others, a capacity to work independently and exercise sound judgment, and strong computer skills including experience with Excel, Outlook, and Word. The pay rate is $24.82 / hr.
