Today was very interesting conceptually, I created a nested LAN using VirtualBox and pfSense. it was somewhat frustrating that I could not get my Debian VM to connect as expected, however that afforded a good opportunity to do some Linux troubleshooting.

What I Did Today!
Today we worked on professional development, specifically researching a company/organization before having an interview. This is an area I am familiar with already but it was a good reminder to practice these skills again. I also got some great advice on how to both refine my resume in a general sense and to target it …
What I Did Today!
Today we did a fun little experiment, looking at PCPartPicker and speccing out different builds depending on purpose and budget. its always fun to look at different computer hardware to me and a nice exercise to see what you can put together. It was very surprising to me how much compute power you can get …
What I did Today!
Today I looked at the Further Exploration part of the Remote Connectivity lab and did a remote session between my Windows and Linux VMs. It was really cool to see how even with a proprietary system like RDP can be made to work on non windows machines. I also explored using the NMAP software to …
What I Did Today!
Today I extended to the advanced remote connectivity lab and did a remote connection from my home, to a VM, and again to another VM. It was cool to see how you can bridge the gap from one network, over the internet, into another private network to possible gain access to a system that may …
What I did Today!
Today we started the Remote Connectivity lab. I installed and tested out a bunch of different remote control softwares and compared their features and costs. I really like how fast RDP is if you have local access to the machine however AnyDesk was very good for connecting over the internet. My personal choice is Parsec …

What I did today!
Today I continued to phases 4 and 5 of Project Inception. I was able to get two Windows VMs set up and running, and a PFSense router. I was able to connect the Windows machine to the internal PFSense VM instead of directly to the CTP network through the host machine. It is very interesting …
What I did today
Today we created virtual machines in both VirtualBox and Virtual Machine Manager. It was nice to see a different program, because I have used VirtualBox in the past. the two work very similarly and I am not sure yet which I prefer. VirtualBox is great for spinning up a machine quickly to test something but …
What I did today!
Today we finished up orientation for CTT. We got our wireguard connected and remote connectivity established to the CTT host machines. It was really nice to get some technical information flowing and see the beginning of the Inception project. I am really looking forward to learning more about Linux in the coming days!
