Today I learned how to create my first ticket. I also got logged into WordPress and learned how to create my first daily blog post. We also had a presentation for the Core Orientation and I took a quick quiz and got 100% on it.

Today we created our osTicket accounts as well as our WordPress accounts. We couldn’t figure out how to attach inline photos to our tickets, but we did try.

We reviewed the CTP orientation, practiced using Zoom polls, and explored CTP’s Skill Center website.

Today I learned how to use a ticketing system.

Today I registered for a WordPress account. I listened to a lecture about Online Software. I connected to a remote computer on CTP’s network for the first time.  

Today I learned how to use Lastpass. I also signed up for WordPress and wrote my first daily blog post of Core Training.

Today we learned how to set up VPNs and some other applications like Trello, Slack, and Lastpass.

Today I learned more about nMap. It is a network scanner tool that allows you to see what devices are connected to a network, as well as what ports the devices have open. Other variants could be used maliciously to scan the public domain, searching for possible vulnerabilities within networks. There are scans being constantly …

Today we had a long lecture and we did a lot of review. We practiced identifying different ports. We drew and labelled a network model. I also learned about the seven layers of the OSI model, but that is something that I’m still very unfamiliar with.
