What I Did Today

Today I looked into and summarized 3 job listings to post to CTP’s skill center page. I spent longer on it than I wanted to, but I got it done. I then spent a little while practicing my typing speed, and I managed to match my average from yesterday, which was 51 wpm. Not only that, but I achieved it with a higher accuracy. I’m hoping to be able to keep that up. I looked for CTP Alumni profiles on LinkedIn for a little awhile. I found one that listed a similar sounding institute in their education, but it didn’t quite look like the correct organization, and the year didn’t match. Alex looked at the profile and decided it was likely alumni, which means I actually did run into a profile for a graduate from around 1989. The rest of the time I spent researching B-Corps, and between me and the other AWEX associate, we managed to look at every existing entry on the sheet. Not all of them had a contact avenue, but I contacted as many as I could and actually was able to reach out to several, so I was pretty happy with the progress. We had a lot of discussion about companies that had gone out of business or re-branded, as well as answering general questions about the assignment. I will be going on break for the holidays, so I won’t return for a couple of weeks. I hope to still get some typing practice in during that time so that I don’t lose my momentum, but I expect my typing speed to go down somewhat temporarily. I hope everyone has a happy holiday season!
