Attended employment training for the first time, did some interview questions and some research about Delta Dental Ins.

Today I got to work on my resume. I also got to do a little research on Delta Dental, which is good because we will be doing mock interviews with them. We also practiced our interview questions and answers.

I used a ticket previously created for this week’s lab. I wrote a summary detailing what I needed to do for this lab. I used Remote Desktop Connection (RDP) to remotely connect to a computer. I copied the Debian Linux ISO from the itHub to the computer via RDP.

Today I continued my VirtualBox (Remote Host) Project Inception Phase 2. I am on step 16#. Through the week I have created an online account with osTicket. This week we went through CTT orientation, setting up a new chrome profile with bookmarks and extensions, and began using Homebase for clocking in and out. I did the first three phases of project “Inception,” creating and installing virtual machines for Bodhi, Debian and Ubuntu Linux, and documented the process on the ticket site.

Today’s class began with CTT presenting tech articles. After that, I joined the Pro class to work on an introduction to Google Sheets and completed the assignment. Today I got a refresher on google sheets. I took notes on the formulas. I also got a refresher on how to merge letters with google sheets. I typed 70 WPM 100% accuracy.

Today pretty much flew by, when fun stuff is learned, time just flies. We got to work on Google Sheets and Mail Merging. I learned to do sheets a little more and merge mail. Cool ways to save time while doing data entry. I’m looking forward to starting my Portfolio next week. I enjoy the CTP, it is giving me hope for a good job eventually. Must work on Skillsoft for Monday. It’s been a great week.
